Boy, 9, Traps Head Under Huge Stone Lion Sculpture

This is the moment a curious boy traps his head between the legs of a huge stone lion sculpture and cries “it hurts!” as firefighters yank him out.

The child, 9, was playing near the decorative guardian lion when he put his head in the space beneath the sculpture’s body.

He began to panic and cried for help when he realised he could not free his head from the sculpture in the county of Hepu, which is in the coastal city of Beihai in China’s southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
