True facts about the Spiny Orb Weaver
The Spiny Orb Weaver, or the Gasteracantha cancriformis, is one of the 35,000 spider species that is recognizable by its striking appearance. As their name suggests, these spiders are known for the six spines on their body.
This spider is found almost everywhere in the world in subtropical to tropical areas in North and South America.
The females are brightly colored with beautiful spines stuck on their tiny bodies, the men have more a lame look. The females are larger than the males, the females do not go larger than 9 millimeters in length and 13 millimeters in width. The man is no longer than 3 millimeters.
Just like most spiders, the spiny orb weaver makes spider webs in bushes and trees (now it becomes clear to me why my sister likes to play in the forest) but also on walls.
Spiny orb-weaver spiders are not dangerous for humans and animals and not aggressive.
Common insects eaten by spiny orb weavers include moths, beetles, mosquitoes, and flies. Paralyzing their prey with a bite, then they consume the insides of their prey.
They mate at the hub of the web, where the male slowly approach, there is a chance that she will maybe eat him, and when reaching the hub, the little male climbs on the female or the male create a line of web pure to mate to attract the female with a vibrator because the male will vibrate his web.
Since the stercoral sac contains bacteria, which helps break down the spider's food, it seems likely that gas is produced during this process, and therefore there is certainly the possibility that spiders do fart.
How to Get Rid of Spiny Orb-Weaver Spiders? Make sure there is no food in your house. No, not in your fridge, but what they eat in their wildlife, namely common insects and remove cobwebs in the house.
