Michelle Anderson, DNP, FNP-C, MSU Surgery - Nurse Practitioner, talks about Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what it means to her. MSU Breast Center is always promoting awareness and early diagnosis, even during the other 11 months of the year. The Breast Center offers a high risk breast clinic where they take patients and analyze their risk for breast cancer based on past medical and family history. Michelle also tells us how important physical activity is to breast cancer survivors and how it can decrease their chance of remission and mortality. Through the Susan G. Komen Grant, MSU Breast Center can offer breast cancer survivors a physical activity group where they can learn how to achieve physical activity and receive a FItbit to aid them in their goals.
