A child has been rushed to the hospital after being run over during a parade in San Tan Valley. According to Shawn Gilleland with the Rural Metro Fire Department, a 10-year-old child ran up to a float in the parade trying to grab candy from the back. The child's right foot reportedly got caught underneath a back tire, knocking the child down and causing the back tire to run up the right side of his body, Gilleland said.
