It looks like any other gathering of friends until the magic come out. These tricky people are members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. They meet once a month at the Screening Room in Amherst. Named for it's founder, Gene Gordon and a long time member, Karl Norman-the 'Gene Gordon-Karl Norman IBM Ring 12' is celebrating it's 80th anniversary. The chapter received it's charter in 1939. According to member Gary Rog one thing that keeps the group going is "the best magicians in Western New York, in the world really, come here to perform for us." September 21st at Lucarellies Banquet Center Ring 12 will have a celebration open to the public. The night will include food, lots of magic and and a basket raffle. You can get more information about the event and Ring 12 at their website.
