Dick Durbin Disses Ayanna Pressley's Attempt To Impeach Kavanaugh — "Get Real"

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) on Tuesday plans to introduce a resolution calling on the House Judiciary Committee to launch another impeachment inquiry, this one into sitting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The House committee is already conducting an "impeachment inquiry" into President Donald Trump, and Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler is not showing any enthusiasm for a second such investigation.

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin told the Kavanaugh impeachment advocates to "get real," Politico reported.

“We’ve got to get beyond this ‘impeachment is the answer to every problem.’ It’s not realistic,” Durbin told Politico on Monday. “If that’s how we are identified in Congress, as the impeachment Congress, we run the risk that people will feel we’re ignoring the issues that mean a lot to them as families.”
