Jet skiers can be seen on many water ways, zipping back and forth and sometimes even jumping waves on their stand up machines. They've been around since the 1980s and people have been having fun on them and learning tricks since they arrived on the scene.

What is unusual is to see somebody who has mastered one of these jet skis well enough to perform back flips without even needing to jump a wave to do it. The footage was captured by a cyclist who was out for a ride near Peterborough, Ontario. He stopped at a bridge for a drink and a brief rest. The bridge is about fifty feet above the river and the view of the park below is always a good one. Boats and jet skis pass under the bridge and zip about on front of the beach that is down below.

As the cyclist watched, he saw the jet skiers doing their tricks and he turned on his camera. The jet skiers may have seen that they had an audience because they worked their way over to the bridge and put on a very impressive show. This jet skier had the good sense to be wearing a life jacket and a helmet while riding. Considering the increased risk for injury, this is a wise thing to do.

After performing countless stunts and tipping his machine over sideways, this rider stopped for a rest and acknowledged some applause and compliments from the bridge above. He is a very experienced jet skier who has been training and practicing from several years. He admitted that flipping and spinning as he had been is not easy and he was exhausted as he took a well deserved break.
