Booker: Requiring Federal Gun License ‘Absolutely’ Constitutional

The federal government has no legitimate authority to license, register, or control arms, or their owners, other than the particular items involved in interstate, or international commerce, or some other instance where the Constitution gives them specific powers.

Most existing federal gun laws are patently unconstitutional, but successive courts, congresses and presidents have bastardized and reinterpreted the Constitution until there is none. The Constitution was intended to keep the government in Washington small, weak and poor (so that it would be unable to interfere with people's management of their own lives, businesses and property, as it now does), and restrict it to the few necessary things that were impractical to do at the state, or local level -- it's been destroyed.
