Great Dane puts little dog in its place for unwanted advances

Lil' Bear is a very little dog with a very big attitude. He rules the roost in his house, even though he and Bandit are best buddies who get along great all the time. When Bandit, a 150 pound Great Dane is having a little relaxing snooze on the couch, Lil' Bear decides to start with a little pushy behavior. He jumped up behind Bandit and began doing what male dogs do. Although this seems like a romantic advance, it is often simply a dominance behavior among male dogs, meant to establish the pecking order.

Bandit is a very laid back dog with nothing to prove. Ordinarily, he is fine to just ignore Lil' Bear's antics. But on this occasion, he seems to feel that something firmer is needed. He sits up, reminding Lil' Bear of the enormous difference in size. Then he gets a look of complete annoyance and disbelief on his massive face. With one giant paw, Bandit swipes Lil' Bear off the couch and onto the floor, clearly expressing his disapproval. Lil' Bear is knocked to the floor where he sits and hangs his head in shame.
