Boy Takes Time Out Of His Daily Routine To Visit 'Misunderstood' Cat

Sweet Videos like these warm the hearts of viewers all over cyber space. This particular video shows a beautiful moment where a young boy makes a special visit to a special friend.

The young man in the video was enjoying his afternoon riding his bike around the neighborhood. This fairly calm suburban street gives the feeling of family ties and peace. The boy rides up and down the streets, enjoying the feeling of wind on his face. Suddenly, he stops his trek through the neighborhood. To his left, he sees a small black and white cat sitting all by itself in the driveway of the cat’s owner’s house. There are people across the street from the cat’s driveway who watched this entire scene unfold.
The boy pulls his bike to a halt, and he approaches the cat. Apparently, this particular cat has a reputation that is not all that positive.

He is known for causing trouble and being extra mischievous. This is pretty typical behavior for any cat, though, especially domestic cats who are allowed to live both inside the home and outside the home. The boy immediately sits at the end of the driveway. He waits, hoping the cat will approach him. Pets often get “bad wraps” when they have that little bit of mischievousness about them. The cat does not walk all the way to him. Instead, the cat lies on the ground and performs a rolling motion.

This is what felines do to show submissiveness so that the opposing entity does not see them as a threat. Even though this cat has not had the best behavior in the past, the cat does not get territorial over his property against the boy. Most likely, this is because the boy immediately sat down, which showed the cat that he too was there in friendship and not opposition.

The sweetest part of the video is watching the interaction between this young man and the cat. The cat and the boy seem to have a fairly instant connection. The security camera on the house behind the cat thankfully was able to catch and record these four minutes of this precious pair. This could be a very special friendship beginning to blossom between man and the other man’s best friend! Perhaps making this new friend will keep this little kitty out of making trouble in the neighborhood sneaking into everyone’s trash cans and tearing up trash bags.
