Man in custody after nearly 10-hour standoff with police

A man is in custody after a nearly 10-hour standoff with Kansas City, Missouri, police. The standoff started around 6 p.m. Tuesday and lasted until 3:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Executive Inn and Suites just off 40 Highway. People had to evacuate their rooms and part of 40 Highway was shut down.
