North Las Vegas PD assistant chief arrested for driving under influence

An assistant chief with the North Las Vegas Police Department was arrested on July 21 for driving under the influence. NLVPD says the Nevada Highway Patrol received a call from an off-duty police officer at approximately 6:09 p.m. about a reckless driver near U.S. 95 and Tropicana Avenue. Within minutes, the NHP trooper found the reported vehicle and observed it was failing to maintain its travel lane.
