Barry on the way for tonight and tomorrow

Our weather takes a turn toward the hot & humid side on Tuesday as remnants of hurricane Barry make their way toward Buffalo providing a soaking rain for Wednesday. Late in the week, a very hot & humid bubble of air will cover WNY, with air temperatures reaching 90F and heat index values (what it feels like when you add in humidity) potentially reaching the mid 90s in the warmest spots (which could trigger heat advisories). With all of this heat and humidity, expect scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms to develop along lake breeze boundaries inland from Lake Erie. These storms will have the potential for heavy rain & gusty winds.
