Police: Man tries to escape custody by jumping off pedestrian bridge on the Las Vegas Strip

A man is in custody after police say he pulled a gun out near the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip. Police say the man was walking along Las Vegas Boulevard when he pulled out a gun on June 20. They tried stopping him but he ran away. He then threw the gun in the bushes and jumped off a pedestrian bridge. Police were able to arrest him and recover the gun. He was taken to the hospital.
