Kelly Clarkson Understands Why Adam Levine Left ‘The Voice’

Singer Kelly Clarkson made an appearance at the Indy 500, where she opened up about fellow "The Voice" coach Adam Levine’s surprising announcement that he’s leaving the show.

Kelly told “Extra” before the big race, “I found out the night before everybody else found out. I was texting him and everybody else.”

Levine’s decision to exit the show after 16 seasons blindsided the show's fans, but she said she understands why he needs to move on.

“It was kind of a shocking thing," she said.
