'The Lion King' To Pass 'Beauty And The Beast' Opening Weekend Numbers

The live-action of “The Lion King” is expected to be the biggest opening weekend for a Disney remake. According to Comicbook.com, they are expecting the film to bring in $180 to $230 million. This would beat the $174 million opening weekend of 2017’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.” When the teaser for “The Lion King” came out in November, it broke 224.6 million global views. It’s the second most-viewed trailer, behind “Avengers: Infinity War.”
