Nevada may soon drop Electoral College

The Electoral College in Nevada could be gone before the next presidential election. AB 186, also known as the "National Popular Vote" bill, just passed the Nevada Senate and heads to the governor's desk. Instead of Nevada giving its 6 electoral votes to the candidate who gets the most votes, it would give the votes to whoever wins the national popular vote. If Governor Sisolak signs the bill, the proposal would only work if a majority of the electoral colleges nationwide agreed to the change.
