Cute bunny thoroughly enjoys cuddling

The sweet rabbit in this video clearly adores getting attention from his human caretaker, and watching him snuggle sweetly into his human’s palm as he receives an affectionate stroking is about as soothing and uplifting a break in your day as you’re going to find anywhere. The adorable little lagomorph featured in this video is clearly a lop-eared bunny.

They’re easily recognizable by their large, floppy ears—although it’s difficult for us to tell (not being bunny experts) exactly which breed of lop-eared this bunny is. The American Rabbit Breeders Association five varieties—including French, mini, English, American and Holland. (Call us overly patriotic, but we’re betting that the American lop-eared bunnies are the cutest bunnies out there!) Lop ears are extremely popular house pes in the United States and around the world, although long eared rabbits’ ears do require a little bit of extra attention than most other rabbits’.

Owners are especially advised to check their ears frequently—on both the inside and the outside—to make sure that they’re kept clean, since long ears are prone to a build up of debris. Aside from that, however, they’re just as cute as their shorter eared counterparts—maybe even cuter—and, as demonstrated in this heartwarming video, can be quite affectionate as well. We’re guessing that the lucky human who gets to look after this bunny enjoys their mutual petting time just as much as the rabbit does, and it makes for a pretty relaxing watch.
