Experts estimate that Starbucks received more than $2 billion in free advertising from a well-publicized faux pas on Game of Thrones. ComicBook.com reports that viewers of the show spotted a non-descript disposable coffee cup that had been left on a table during filming -- and immediately assumed it was a Starbucks cup. Stacy Jones, CEO of marketing company Hollywood Branded, told CNBC that she put the estimated value of all the buzz at $2.3 billion.
