NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
Wednesday afternoon did not feel like May at all. At 3:30 PM the temperature was 41° & the wind chill was 32° in Appleton!! Yikes!! The windy, cold rain continues on tonight with steady or slowly rising temps. You may notice that rain to be heavy at times with a "few" rumbles of thunder possible. This rain will continue at times into early Thursday afternoon. When you combine this afternoon, tonight and Thursday morning, this will be a soaker with rain totals between 1-2 inches. Some flooding is possible. With the low pressure system moving right over the Fox Valley on Thursday there will be a wide range of high temperatures with 30s/40s NW & 50s/60s southeast.....even some lower 70s can not be ruled out. The large storm will exit the area by Friday with sunshine & milder temps returning by the afternoon. The weekend isn't looking too bad at all with a chance of a little rain Saturday night, and maybe a bit on Sunday with highs in the 60s. Hang in there. The weather will get better with these warmer temps sticking around into next week.
