Peter Mayhew Remembered By 'Star Wars' Stars

Peter Mayhew was the first actor to take on the role of Chewbacca in the “Star War” franchise. Unfortunately, Mayhew’s family announced the actor passed away on April 30, 2019. According to SFGate, George Lucas said Mayhem had a “big heart” and a “gentle nature.” He said: “He was a good friend and I’m saddened by his passing.” Additionally, Mark Hamill said Mayhem was “a big man with an even bigger heart who never failed to make me smile.”
