They are tiny and cute and fun to watch. Those are some of the reasons Mary Palka and her daughter Marea started raising these adorable critters. No kidding. Mary says "when we were living in Maryland a friend of mine had goats and we went over there and we fell in love." The farm is called "Bit of Mischief" and the pint sized pets are Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. They have seven babies born already and expecting more soon. Five year-old Ellie Hudson bought one goat and liked it so much, her Mom and Dad said she could get another. Mary says the goats are registered and are show quality. Marea adds "they all have names, they have to in order to be registered". Besides being fun to watch Mary says there are many advantages to having goats, especially if you like cheese, she says "they provide milk which can be used to make cheese which is one of my favorite things to do, you can drink the milk amd make goat milk soaps and lotions."
