UMC sees 29% increase in child abuse deaths

UMC Children's Hospital says they are seeing a shocking increase in child abuse deaths. From 2017 to 2018 the hospital recorded a 29% percent increase. When you compare those numbers to 2016, the deaths are up 200%. UMC will hold a press conference to go more in depth about these numbers on April 29. They will also release a new initiative to stop this kind of abuse in our community
