Fire Fighter Coin Ring Tutorial

Recently I've started a hobby creating jewelry from Coins and Flatware and it has really taken off. A friend of mine is a volunteer firefighter and I wanted to do something for him so I took a Firefighter Challenge Coin and turned it into a ring. This isn't an easy process and there's lots of steps and repetition but I tried to create a condensed step by step of how I take a flat coin and turn it into a piece of jewelry that he'll be proud to wear.
The coin itself has no monetary value so it's not actual currency but it is a good solid .999 Copper, and it's a full ounce...it has a lot of weight to it. The coin is also around 1 1/2" across...thats big.
I have purchased special punches, presses, dies, and all sorts of other tools to be able to do these rings while being able to maintain the detail both on the outside and on the inside of the ring.
I've done all sorts of coins, local and foreign but the size of this one really made it a challenge...no pun intended.
This is the first video that I have done where I have included my voice, so I hope it sounds better to you than it did to me. Hope you enjoy my new hobby and if you're interested in seeing other pieces that I have done and continue to do, take a look at my Instagram page which you can find under Rekindled Treasures. I'm trying to bring life and passion into the jewelry I'm making from some of the old forgotten things.
