Critics Lukewarm On ‘Red Joan’

Red Joan stars Judi Dench as its titular former Soviet spy.
The film is inspired by the case of Melita Norwood, a British civil servant who was revealed to have provided nuclear secrets to the Soviets.
She was unmasked when she was well into her eighties.
The movie received a 32% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Vince Mancini of Uproxx gave the film a poor review.
Mancini said the film doesn't explore the soul of Dench's character.
