Barry Jenkins Casts 3 Leads In Amazon Drama 'Underground Railroad'

Three of the leads have been cast for Barry Jenkins’ upcoming adaption of Colson Whitehead’s “The Underground Railroad.” Thuso Mbedu will star as Cora, with Chase W. Dillon as Homer, and Aaron Pierre as Caesar. According to The Wrap, Jenkins is directing all 11 episodes of the series based on Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning and bestselling novel. The novel centers on a young slave named Cora and her journey as she makes a bid for freedom in the antebellum South.
