Crazy Cockatoo Wears a Cup for a Hat!

In this video Max the Moluccan tries on a new hat – a cup. How ridiculous – a cup isn’t a hat. The Parrot tried on two different hats, with a predictable end – the hat, or in this case the cup, goes flying! One of the hats was very cute and looked like a blue teddy bear. The other hat was larger and blue. But this Cockatoo knows that birds don’t need any hats.

Max is the original Moluccan Cluckatoo with his unmistakable trademark Bok that he sings with joy. It’s hard not to laugh when you watch this 25 year old Moluccan Cockatoo with a larger than life attitude. Max believes that all hoomans are ridiculous, it’s always a great time for snacks, and, of course, that the world revolves around him. His life is filled with adventures that he loves to share with his flockers. Occasionally Max shares the spotlight with flock members Tycho (A 23 year old African Grey who believes cameras are parrot eating monsters), Tikal (A 44 year old Amazon who enjoys saying hello), and his pet hooman (a featherless biped who doesn’t listen).
Max’s entertaining videos will capture your attention for hours. Online, Max the Moluccan is very popular across many social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube where he enjoys entertaining his flockers with his daily antics. Join the flock! Make sure you beak subscribe so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. I want to share the grand adventure of living with a pet hooman with everybirdie!

Max is living with his pet hooman in his forever home. When he was ten years old he was rescued from a bad situation. In his original home he was living in a basement, and had a lot of behavioural challenges – screaming non-stop and biting to the point that he couldn’t be handled safely. He has come a long way since then, and is now very friendly and social.

The Moluccan Cockatoo, also known as a Salmon-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua moluccensis) can live 60 to 80 years. They are readily recognized by their trademark peach colour with a brilliant Salmon coloured crest that provides a brilliant display. Like all Parrots they require a lot of attention, nutrition and care.
