Temperatures rose into the 60s over the Fox Valley today making it the first time we reached the 60s this year and also the first time since October 22nd. Temperatures will be mild once again tomorrow before cooler weather moves back in with the potential of seeing some snow. Scattered rain showers will persist for the first half of the evening but will then come to an end later tonight. Temperatures will drop down into the mid 40s with a steady breeze out of the west around 5 to 10 mph. We should have plenty of sunshine to start off your Monday with highs in the upper 60s and southwest winds around 10 to 15 mph. We will have a cold front moving through later in the evening which will spark off a few showers and thunderstorms. First it will start in the Northwoods and then progress southeastward. Temperatures are back in the upper 40s on Tuesday with a chance of a few scattered afternoon rain showers. The potential for a significant snow storm across the Midwest is turning more and more likely as we get closer to the event. Right now it appears Wednesday will be dry for the first half of the day. Later in the evening a warm front will be lifting through Wisconsin. Along and ahead of this front, a band of moderate to heavy snowfall will allow for snow to rapidly accumulate. This will continue into the first half of Thursday. As the warm front lifts through the whole area, the snow will turn over to rain with temperatures remaining in the mid and upper 30s during the afternoon Thursday. On Friday, the storm will begin to push out of the area with wrap around rain and snow showers and temperatures once again in the mid and upper 30s. Temperatures do go back into the 40s for the weekend with dry conditions.
