The Jews and the cyclists are responsible for all of our misfortunes!" - "Why the Cyclists?" - "Why the Jews?" This old joke was well-known and often repeated between world wars in Europe, and it lies at the heart of play "The Last Cyclist". Originally written in the Terezín Ghetto by Karel Švenk, the play was recently reconstructed and reimagined by author and playwright Naomi Patz, and it is coming to a Milwaukee stage. Naomi joins us to discuss the production and its important message. "The Last Cyclist" is presented by The Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center (HERC), Cardinal Stritch University, and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center. The production premieres tonight, April 4 and features a special talk-back reception. Tickets are $75 per person and available by calling (414) 963-2710.
