Gino Recchia NBC26 Storm Shield Weather Forecast
Tonight temperatures will drop down into the lower 20s with gradual clearing skies and winds turning light out of the southwest around 5 mph. A weak disturbance moves through on Monday with temperatures in the lower 40s. There may be a few light rain showers or snow showers in the afternoon and evening hours. These would be very light if they do end up occurring. The risk of some light rain or snow showers will persist overnight as this weak disturbance continues to move through. This will also linger into the day Tuesday as temperatures rise up into the lower 50s. Any wintry mix at fist would transition to a light rain threat. There is the potential for rainfall next week Friday. So far it has been very dry which is good for the ongoing flooding situation. River flood warnings remain in place for the Wolf River and the Fox River. It does appear it will be at least another 2-3 weeks between the rivers recede below flood stage but at least the latest data is showing the rivers beginning to level out and slowing dropping.
