Temperatures today were below average and the coolest since March 17th, almost 2 weeks ago. We also had some light snow showers pass through the area. This was the first snow flakes for us since the 15th of the month. Tonight we will see mostly clear skies and temperatures falling down into the teens to near 20 degrees. it will remain breezy with northwest winds around 10 to 15 mph with gusts near 25 mph. Temperatures will warm up into the lower 40s tomorrow with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and winds out of the northwest around 10 to 15 mph with gusts near 20 mph. A weak disturbance moves through on Monday with temperatures in the mid 40s. There may be a few light rain showers in the afternoon hours. These would be very light if they do end up occurring. Skies remain partly cloudy Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the lower 50s. There is the potential for rainfall next week Friday. So far it has been very dry which is good for the ongoing flooding situation. River flood warnings remain in place for the Wolf River and the Fox River. It does appear it will be at least another 2-3 weeks between the rivers recede below flood stage but at least the latest data is showing the rivers beginning to level out and slowing dropping.
