Milder going into the weekend but wet and windy coming out

Friday will start off cold until the March sun and a favorable wind direction begins warming us up to near 32 degrees in the afternoon. Another chilly night follows Friday night, but the sun will start off the weekend with daytime highs hitting 40 in the afternoon under sunny skies with light breezes. Sunday is a whole different story... Heavy rain arrives near midnight and continues into the early morning hours of Sunday. Temperatures will soar to near 50 degrees, but along with the increase in temperature, there will be an increase in winds. By the afternoon winds will shift to the southwest and begin gusting 45 to 55mph as temperatures drop into the 30s with rain switching to snow by the end of the day.
