Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

High pressure will be in charge for today and tomorrow, but things go downhill Saturday afternoon. Let's enjoy some sun while we can. Today's high will top out in the low-20s, but there won't be much wind. Tonight, clouds will be on the increase, but still kind of cold with lows in the single digits. Friday FINALLY won't be as cold with highs in the low-30s in the afternoon. We actually make it above freezing by Saturday, but a strong low pressure system rolls through Saturday afternoon, Saturday night and into Sunday morning with some rain, sleet, freezing rain and/or snow. It's still a little early to make the call, but it looks like the main swath of the heavier snow may be getting close to brushing Green Bay and the Fox Cities, but the farther you live to the north, the snowier this will be. It's going to be close, so stay tuned as this forecast will probably change. Luckily, even after this weekend system, it still stays mild into next week. Mild meaning closer to average in the 30s each day to closer to 40 by next Wednesday! Progress.
