Doxxing, derived from an abbreviation for "documents," is an online phenomenon in which users seek out and distribute a target's real-life personal information. The Sandmann family knows it well, having been on the receiving end of a doxxing campaign following an encounter between their son, Covington Catholic student Nicholas, and an activist outside the Lincoln Memorial earlier this year.
