Ellen Page Talks About Hollywood's Pressure In Staying Closeted

Ellen Page came out as gay five years ago during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s “Time to Thrive.” But according to Comicbook.com, Page revealed that she was pressured by Hollywood to deny her sexuality. She was directly told by people in the industry that “people cannot know you’re gay.” Page said she felt forced to always wear dresses and heels for events and photo shoots. But Page is optimistic for the future saying that with more representation it’s becoming easier to come out.
