When Joseph Lettieri and his wife purchased 619 Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo, sight unseen at a foreclosure auction-they were pleasantly surprised. Joseph says "when we walked in we were just blown away." The house, built in 1889 is loaded with fascinating features that were way ahead of it's time including: central heating, gas fire places with faux logs, heated bathroom floors and even a stand alone-body shower." Joephe and his wife transformed the place into an upscale, nine room comfy spot and named it Inn Buffalo off Elmwood. Joseph has researched the original owner Herbert Hewitt who besides inventing the train coupler and selling patents to Goodyear, had a lot of other business ventures. Joseph believes as caretaker of the home, it's his responsibility to share the homes rich legacy. You can find more information about Inn Buffalo off Elmwood at their website
