NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

After near record warmth for Valentine's day much colder is going to return. An arctic front will sweep across the area this evening!! It will be accompanied by snow showers that could be briefly heavy!! A quick 1/2" - 1" of snow is possible!! Behind the front.....gusty NW winds will usher in much colder temperatures!! Friday, we'll have plenty of sunshine, but it will be blustery and chilly again. Highs will top out in the upper 10s to lower 20s.......about 20-25° colder than Thursday!! Wind chills be below zero during the morning. The weekend appears to be cool for this time of year with sunshine and low-20s for Saturday. Some light snow or flurries are possible with temps in the low/mid-20s for Sunday. We've finally settled down this very active pattern for the time being, though it still will be colder than normal for most of the next 7 days.
