Andrew McCabe admits Rosenstein offered to wear a wire

Yet not only did McCabe reportedly admit to Pelley that he and Rosenstein had indeed thought about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump, but he further claimed that the deputy AG had offered to personally wear a wire in his meetings with the president. 

"It was said at a previous time that the deputy attorney general offered to wear a wire into the White House to record potentially incriminating conversations with the president," Pelley said.

"A statement was released [by Rosenstein] after that that that was never serious. It was sarcastic, etc. McCabe in our interview said no, it came up more than once, and it was so serious that he took it to the layers at the FBI to discuss it."
