Prosecutors: Man faked suicide before fatally shooting deputy

Sheriff Robert Leahy had few TV-appropriate words to describe his feelings Monday, as a 23-year-old man accused of fatally shooting one of his deputies was arraigned in court. The suspect, Wade Winn, called police asking for help — when they arrived to deliver it, he shot them, killing Det. Bill Brewer. Winn's attorneys said their client had severe mental illness that contributed to the incident.
