Warmer weather is moving in but that milder air will cause some issues tonight into tomorrow. Winter weather advisories have been issued for the area because of a freezing drizzle risk. Dense fog is developing as this milder air moves over the thick snowpack currently in place. This will cause any untreated pavement to become icy. Temperatures are expected to warm up above freezing overnight but because of how cold it has been recently, it will take some time before the ground temperature warms above freezing, hence the risk of freezing drizzle will persist through the morning. Light drizzle will continue on and off through Sunday as temperatures warm up into the lower and mid 40s with winds out of the south and southwest around 5 to 10 mph. The warmest day of the week will be Monday. High temperatures will get up into the upper 40s with more steadier rainfall passing through. Any puddling water will freeze since temperatures fall rapidly into the single digits by Tuesday morning. A few snow showers are possible Tuesday. Wednesday some light snow will accumulate to a few inches if it pans out correctly. Another storm moves in soon after Thursday or Friday with a risk of more significant snowfall. More details to come as we get closer in time.
