Man with severe spinal cord injury walks on his wedding day

Chris and Emily Norton walk 7 yards on the day of their wedding. It has been a seven-year journey for Chris to regain strength after he suffered a severe spinal cord injury playing college football. Emily met Chris after his injury and has supported him every step of the way. They are both currently foster parents and have already fostered eleven children to date. Filming has begun for a full-length documentary on there astonishing story titled '7 Yards' captured by the award-winning film crew Fotolanthropy.

Chris and Emily adopted 5 girls, including a sibling group of 4 sisters under age 9.

Chris’ Foundation recently hosted 25 children (and their families) at the Chris Norton Wheelchair Camp - a four-day long event that was covered by all local media. (SampleMedia Coverage Link).

They are officially releasing their new book (with a foreword by Tim Tebow) with a PEOPLE Magazine story and their third Good Morning, America appearance this Tuesday, July 9 (2019). National media tour to follow.

In the book – the “new” angle is that Emily opens up about her struggles with depression and anxiety. Mental health is a relevant topic that makes this “superhero” couple relatable in a genuine way.
