NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

DANGEROUS cold through Thursday. With highs in the -1s & -10s........Wednesday was the coldest day in 23 years!! Wind chills during the morning were in the -40s & -50s!! The dangerous cold continues tonight with lows in the -20s......possibly getting even colder than -30° in a few "cold" spots. With the wind, it will once again start to feel like -35 to -55° Frostbite will be possible on exposed skin within minutes. We'll start off with dangerous cold and wind chills on Thursday with morning wind chills -35 to -50°, but the wind will lessen through the day as the temperature only climbs to -10° Friday will be much warmer but still cold highs in the low/mid-teens during the afternoon. Temps will keep climbing towards midnight. Shockingly, we go back up above freezing over the weekend, with some rain possible Sunday. In fact.......temps will warm into the 40s Sunday & Monday.
