NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

It will be a bitterly cold night tonight with lows dropping into the 10/20s BELOW zero. The record low of -19° is within reach!! Wind chills will drop to -25 to -35°. FRIGID temps continue through the weekend with temps running 20-30° below normal, barely making it through the mid-single digits above and below zero depending on where you live. Overnight lows will be in the -1s, -10s & -20s in a few areas. Another snow maker arrives on Monday and we'll will have to do some shoveling when it's all over. It's looking more and more like it will produce heavy snow across the state. How much & where?? Stay tuned!! A bitterly cold blast of air will move in behind that system that could last until next weekend. It will be the coldest air mass in years.
