Services from the VA to Prevent Veteran Suicide
The Milwaukee VA Medical Center is dedicated to helping our veterans. One way they are serving our heroes suffering from mental health issues is through participating in creative arts. Joining us with more information on how they are using art therapy, among other services, to care for veterans with mental health issues are Gary Kunich and Erin Maney from the Milwaukee VA Medical Center. The VA is hosting a Veterans Visual Arts Show on February 11 at 11am and February 12 and 13 at 8am. They are also holding Veterans Performing Arts Shows on February 14 at 2pm and 6:30pm. For more information, visit Milwaukee.VA.gov. Veterans and their loved ones are encouraged to call the Veterans Crisis Line - 1-800-273-8255 - or the Milwaukee VA immediate mental health access clinic for additional support and to learn more about getting engaged in VA services.
