NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
We will see freezing drizzle this evening.....watch out for ICY roads. A strong cold front will move through the area overnight with gusty winds & colder temps. Wednesday will be a colder with highs in the low-20s under mostly sunny skies. Colder but still pretty close to normal for this time of year. Wednesday night, clouds will be on the increase with lows around 10. There is a weak system that is going to move across the area on Thursday. A few flurries or a little light snow will be possible, but it looks to be minor if anything. Highs will be in the upper-20s. On Saturday.....a storm system will bring some snow to the area. Accumulations are likely......especially from southeast of the Fox Valley. The coldest air of the season arrives behind this arctic front going into the weekend. It appears that temperatures will remain well below normal going into the second half of January. We could even dip a little below zero heading into Sunday night. And it's going to be windy going right through the weekend just to add insult to injury. Whatever. We're due for weather like this.
