On Thursday the mainstream media network CNN reportedly contacted a San Diego news station in hopes of learning how locals -- particularly U.S. Border Patrol agents working along the San Ysidro Port of Entry -- feel about President Donald Trump's proposed southern U.S. border wall.
But when station KUSI informed CNN that its reporters had already spoken with locals numerous times and, in doing so, discovered that they support the wall, CNN retracted the offer.
