Blind grandma lucky to be alive after a car crashed into her living room

A blind grandma said she is lucky to be alive after a car crashed into her living room - and smashed her favourite chair.

Joan Blackwood, who lost her sight in 1993, was home alone when the vehicle smashed through her wall and into the lounge, destroying her prized CD collection.

The 62-year-old was left with a gaping hole in the wall of her home in Littlehampton, West Sussex.
