Trump Says He Has An "Absolute Right" To Declare Border A National Emergency

In a pool spray from the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump said he has the “absolute right” to declare an emergency if he cannot end the government shutdown by securing the funding he needs to build a border wall.

“I think we might work a deal, and if we don’t we might go that route,” Trump said. “My threshold will be if I can’t make a deal with people that are unreasonable.”
