Watch this cute and funny video of Mochi the winter white hamster enjoying an after school snack. Winter white dwarf hamsters also known as the Djungarian hamster, are common pets in North America and in Europe. They come in various colors: white, cream, black, and gray.
On average winter white hamsters live to be 2-3 years old. They may sometimes live in pairs, but like most hamsters, they are happiest when living in solitary conditions. Owners who have a pair, must keep extra supplies on hand in the event they need to separate the pair do to fighting.
The winter white is known to be one of the most tamable types of hamsters.
