On Saturday evening, ABC's World News Tonight was the only evening newscast that informed viewers that more than a half dozen immigrants arrested for trying to help alleged cop killer and illegal alien Gustavo Perez Arriaga evade capture are also themselves illegal aliens.

Furthermore, on Thursday's The Ingraham Angle on FNC, Sheriff Adam Christianson of Stanislaus County, California,  informed viewers of the travesty that the state's sanctuary law will likely prevent most of them from being handed over to ICE for deportation.

In a full report updating viewers, ABC correspondent Marci Gonzalez recalled: "Police say, in all, seven people are in custody, accused of assisting the suspect in evading police, including two of Arriaga's brothers and his girlfriend. Authorities telling ABC News, all of them -- as well as Arriaga -- in the U.S. illegally."

After a clip of Sheriff Christianson recounting the suspect's criminal history, Gonzalez continued: "Authorities say Arriaga had gang affiliations and two prior arrests for DUI as well as an open DUI warrant out for his arrest. Investigators say California's sanctuary laws kept law enforcement from reporting him to immigration officials."
